First can I just mention how cute my new bed spread is, PUGS! Okay lets carry on...
Ladies today I'm going to be showing you the cute little makeup haul that went down yesterday!
There are only two brands that I bought yesterday and they were Essence and Urban Decay (life wouldn't be the same without Urban Decay!).
Okay so the first two products that I was drawn to was the nail polishes, I am seriously addicted to doing my nails. I probably change them around every 2 days, my nails are quite weak and brittle so I find that most nail polishes only last around 3 days maximum anyways! These two pretty polishes are from Essence, in colours engaged and electiiiiiic. They go without streaks and do make your nails look as if you've had a gel manicure. Plus you cant go wrong with the price at £1.80 each!!!!!
These little bad boys right here have been saving my life recently, my skin has completely switched from very dry to oily within matters of months. These oil blotting papers absorb unwanted excess oil without a powder residue or remove any makeup. I have these in my bag at all times and are life saving for a hot day! These were around £2 to buy.
I've been all over concealers at the moment for my under eye area, something high coverage without the drag queen effect! I am in love with my Mac pro long wear concealer but some days when I'm doing a more natural eye look I feel that it can be a bit too much. This concealer gives me good coverage, lightweight and sets matte, which is also great because I don't need to use a setting powder with it. This was around £2.50 to buy.
Because my skin has gone oily, obviously my eyeshadow shouldn't be staying where it should be. This helped my eyeshadow stay in place all day at work, the only down side I would say is that it has a very unusual strong smell to it. I know it's better for your skin if it's not fragranced but there's nothing better than applying a product to your face that smells like roses! This cost me around £2 to buy.
I've worn this all day today and I have to say (I'm really sorry Urban Decay) that this foundation is defiantly on the same level as the Urban Decay Naked foundation. This foundation smells beautiful, blends in well, lasts ALL day with minimal touch ups and feels like I'm wearing no foundation. I really can't believe how much I love this foundation at the moment and costing me around £3.50 instead of £27 for my Urban Decay foundation, I think I'm in love!
The last items that I bought from Essence were these two nude lipsticks, I'm trying to work with some nude lipsticks as I tend to wear bright colours! They go on creamy and nicely pigmented but I did find that they didn't last very long, for only £2 who can complain!
Saving the best till last, it obviously has to be the Urban Decay pore perfecting primer. I've never been much of a fan of primer as they tend to make my makeup slide all over the place, but I do have to say I'm very impressed with this little fella. This helps minimise the appearance of pores while keeping your makeup in place! I knew you would never let me down UD!
I also wanted to show you the beautiful flowers that I could off my other for our FOUR year anniversary and my very simple dressing table layout!
I try not to have much on my dressing table only the bare essentials because if I leave anything out valuable my still very chewwy one year old border collie called Wilson will get his paws on it all! Just a few weeks ago he chewed up my beauty blender, honestly I nearly cried!
That's all for today my lovelies, stay safe!
Mwah xoxo
